Birmingham Home & Garden 2019 Inspiration Home Update
The 2019 Birmingham Home & Garden Inspiration Home, located at The Willows, a new Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhood, is progressing nicely. Situated on a gently sloping lot, the home will exhibit all the charms of lake house style and showcase the best of lakefront living.
The home, designed by architect Scott Torode of Pfeffer Torode Architecture, is being built by Classic Homes, a member of the Russell Lands, Inc., family of businesses that specializes in building lake homes in Russell Lands On Lake Martin neighborhoods.
Lake Martin is known for its fishing, boating, and first-rate lake living on the weekends.
Enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding along the beautiful nature trails.
Guided trail rides are available through The Stables at Russell Crossroads, a working two-story equestrian center housing quarter horses to Clydesdales.
With more than 100 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails, Lake Martin offers a myriad of opportunities to reconnect with nature.
And after all that play, when everyone has worked up an appetite, SpringHouse restaurant offers
an exceptional dining experience. SpringHouse, featuring local products in a rustic, yet elegantly casual atmosphere suited to the tranquil lake surroundings, is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.
Chef Rob McDaniel has been a James Beard Foundation Best Chef South semifinalist in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and SpringHouse was included on Southern Living’s 100 Best Restaurants in the South list in 2014.
